I woke up and looked at my toes. They were all chipped up, and today I had my God son’s birthday party to attend. So because it was 90 degrees out, I needed my toes done. There is nothing worse than sweaty feet in sneakers. I made a last-minute appointment. When I arrived, the lady was so kind and gentle ( I wasn’t expecting that) because I made the appointment last minute. She took her time with me and consistently reminded me to relax as I looked at the watch on my phone to make sure I wasn’t taking too much time on myself. When she finished, I felt different and satisfied that my toes could now be worn out. Later the next day, as I wore my slippers, I looked down at my feet and smiled. I noticed that I liked my toes, the way the polish looked smoothly finished with a bit of shine. But I liked them because they reminded me that this person took their time with me, and I can’t recall the last time that happened. There is something to be said when someone takes their time with me (with you).
Well, I say all of that to say this. Take your time. It looks and feels so much better when you do. Also, take your time with yourself.
